Holtec’s Shielded Transfer Cask Solution for Wet Transfer Operations
Holtec’s Shielded Transfer Cask (STC) provides a solution for wet transfer operations between two spent fuel pools located at one site. The STC holds up to 12 PWR used fuel assemblies. Combined with Holtec’s on-site transfer cask, HI-TRAC, the wet transfer operation provides a custom engineered solution to meet the needs of Holtec’s clients. The benefits of wet transfer include maintaining the fuel in its native aqueous environment throughout the transfer process.
