Holtec Government Services, LLC Partners with a Local Carlsbad, NM Manufacturer to Deliver Transportation Containers for Transuranic Waste to DOE’s Waste Isolation Pilot Plant

The Nuclear Waste Partnership, LLC, following a rigorous procurement process, has established a supply contract with Holtec Government Services, a Holtec International subsidiary, for fabrication, testing and delivery of twelve HalfPACT Type B transportation containers for shipment of transuranic waste to the U.S. Department of Energy’s Waste Isolation Pilot Plant near Carlsbad, New Mexico. NFT-EPD, an experienced Carlsbad-based manufacturer, is the named subcontractor to Holtec Government Services on this project. 

India’s Preeminent Nuclear Plant Owner, NPCIL, Orders Holtec’s High-Density Fuel Racks for Kudankulam’s Away-From-Reactor Storage Facility

We are pleased to report that Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL), India’s sole nuclear plant owner and operator, has placed its first order for spent fuel and damaged fuel storage racks for its new away-from-reactor wet storage facility for the Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant (KKNPP) with Holtec Asia, a Holtec subsidiary.
