After an extensive battery of pre- commissioning and commissioning tests, Ukraine’s State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate has authorized the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant to load used fuel from the Chornobyl three reactors with immediate effect.
We are pleased to announce that a major step toward the timely decommissioning of the three-reactor Indian Point site occurred yesterday with the unanimous signing of a Joint Petition (“Agreement”) by all stakeholders that will support the NY Public Service Commission’s deliberations and decision in May.
We are pleased to share some of the recent innovations employed at our plants undergoing prompt decommissioning – Oyster Creek and Pilgrim – that have a large beneficial consequence to enhancing public health and safety as well as protection of the environment.
