Our ongoing decommissioning programs at Oyster Creek and Pilgrim are fueled by creativity and innovation to efficiently transition these sites to enable them to host diverse commercial economic activities at the earliest possible date.
We are pleased to report that both of our decommissioning sites, Oyster Creek in Lacey Township, NJ and Pilgrim in Plymouth, Massachusetts, are setting new levels of excellence in every relevant metric of performance as they drive forward with safe and efficient deconstruction of the shuttered nuclear plants.

The past year included many successes for both Oyster Creek and Pilgrim.
Holtec International’s subsidiaries completed the ownership transfer and acquisition of the Oyster Creek Generating Station from Exelon Generation today.
The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) approved the transfer of the Oyster Creek Generating Station operating license today from Exelon Generation to Holtec International.
At Holtec, 2018 will be remembered as the year when the Company’s four-year quest to launch its decommissioning program reached a successful milestone.
Exelon Generation, the owner of the nation’s largest fleet of nuclear energy facilities, and Holtec International, a global leader in used nuclear fuel management technologies, today announced an agreement for Holtec to purchase Oyster Creek Generating Station.
