Holtec Successfully Completes an Incident-Free Dry Storage Loading Campaign at Diablo Canyon Ahead of the Planned Schedule, Paving the Way for Continued Plant Operation

The last of the 12 HI-STORM systems was loaded in late October bringing the total casks safely stored at the facility to 70. This was completed with great effort and coordination by Holtec, Pacific Gas and Electric (PG&E) and Diablo Canyon Power Plant (DCPP).

Turnkey Project for Deployment of Holtec’s HI-STORM Systems at Mexico’s Laguna Verde Nuclear Power Station Nears Completion

We are pleased to report that Holtec’s turnkey project for installation and commissioning of an Independent Spent Fuel Storage Installation (ISFSI), at Mexico’s national utility, Comisión Federal de Electricidad (CFE), Laguna Verde Nuclear Power Plant, is moving rapidly toward completion.

HI-STORM FW’S Certification to be Effective on June 13

The HI-STORM FW (Flood & Wind) MPC Storage System has successfully completed the NRC’s safety review and rulemaking process, including the public comment period (a unique feature of licensing in the United States) and is scheduled to be certified for general use under 10 CFR 72 Subpart L on June 13, 2011.
