CAMDEN, New Jersey – We would like to inform our customers, contractors, suppliers and other interested stakeholders that, following discussion with our banking syndicate, we have decided to postpone our initial public offering at this time. The Company intends to maintain its registration statement on file with the SEC.
The decision to postpone the offering has been caused by the unusual confluence of developments that has impaired investor confidence in the market for new public offerings. The adverse market sentiment has affected the equity markets in general and the nuclear sector in particular in the past two weeks. We attribute the ongoing retreat of the nuclear energy sector to a perfect storm of adverse developments, driven primarily by uncertainty over data center development, which has compounded a set of pre-existing headwinds, including rising energy costs, elevated global trade tensions, ongoing military conflicts, and mounting inflation fears that have driven the central banks of major economies (EU, Japan and US) to raise their benchmark rates. With our proven track record spanning four decades of industry leadership in spent nuclear fuel storage and management, a substantial backlog, and a portfolio of more than 200 granted patents supporting our technology platform, we believe a more favorable market environment is likely to better reflect these fundamentals.
During this period, we plan to continue to advance certain near-term priorities, including the restart of Palisades and a fully crystalized development plan for the Pioneer SMR-300 project. We will also continue implementing the corporate processes and procedures necessary to support compliance with applicable public company reporting and governance requirements.
Our mission, momentum and long-term strategy remain unchanged. We will continue executing on our plans to expand our manufacturing footprint, advance deployment of the SMR-300 and strengthen our leadership in nuclear services. We remain committed to our customers and focused on delivering on our long-term strategy. We will evaluate opportunities to access the public markets when we believe the timing and market conditions are appropriate.
In the operations space, the Company’s SMR, solar and energy storage programs will continue with full vigor. We are proud of the intense commitment and relentless efforts of our employees who are systematically advancing the Palisades restart with unflagging commitment to occupational safety and environmental protection. We are also proud of the progress being made by the SMR organization in the first-of-a-kind Pioneer program. Forward and onward we go.
