Another Historic Milestone Achieved at Chornobyl

A historic milestone was reached on December 14, 2020 at the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant in Ukraine, when Holtec-trained technicians loaded the second double-walled canister with RBMK reactor spent nuclear fuel into the site’s Interim Storage Facility (ISF-2).

NRC Approves the Transfer-of-License for the Three-Reactor Indian Point Energy Center from Entergy to Holtec for Decommissioning

We are pleased to announce that the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (USNRC) has approved the transfer of the Indian Point Energy Center licenses from Entergy Corporation subsidiaries to Holtec International subsidiaries.

Holtec International and Hitachi-GE Nuclear Energy Enter into an MOU for Dry Storage of Used Fuel in Japan

We are pleased to announce that Holtec International and Hitachi-GE Nuclear Energy, Ltd. have executed a Memorandum of Understanding to introduce and deploy Holtec’s canister-based dry storage and transport technologies for managing spent nuclear fuel in Japan.
