Former Camden, New Jersey Police Chief and current Holtec Executive Director of Global Security, J. Scott Thomson, had a distinguished 27-year career in a city that was once dubbed “America’s Most Dangerous City.”
Over the past few months, Holtec International and its employees have worked closely with community organizations to offer support for our neighbors and front-line health care workers.
Holtec International’s pre-eminent consideration in all of its decommissioning plans and actions is protecting public health and safety and preserving the environment.
With a multitude of activities underway, Holtec’s Oyster Creek and Pilgrim decommissioning sites continue to make significant progress and remain on schedule.
Since 1986, it has been Holtec’s continued mission to develop technologies and services, while providing the utmost protection to workers and the communities in which it operates. Holtec continues to deliver this mission through its promise to decommission shutdown nuclear power plants safely and efficiently.

Going back to 1992, it is a tradition at Holtec to elect one “Holtec Fellow” at the end of each year. The honorees are announced at the Company’s New Jersey operation center annual holiday party.
