Joseph Williams is the Manager of Holtec International Security Operations Center (HI-SOC). In this role, he is responsible for overseeing the Daily Operations of the HI-SOC; which includes alarm monitoring and video surveillance.  

Professional History 

Williams has over 25 years of professional urban policing in the City of Camden. As Sergeant/Lieutenant and Deputy Police Chief, he successfully implemented many crime fighting initiatives and community engagement programs. 

Williams began his work by engaging with local individuals, community leaders and educational professionals. He suggested corrective actions at public schools, storage buildings and public transportation facilities. By using technology to analyze crime data maps, graphs, and statistics, he developed new patrol and crime prevention strategies. Williams also established active shooter response and de-escalation of use of force police training programs. Finally, he used social media as a tool for citizens to engage directly with the police department.

Industry Leadership

Williams has received several accolades for his exemplary leadership. For his acts of bravery, Williams received a Distinguished Service Award from the Camden Police Department. Camden City Council named Williams as the Top Gun of the State of New Jersey Narcotics Task Force. He was also given a Camden County Hero Scholarship Letter from the Office of the Camden County Prosecutor. Finally, Williams received commendations from the Camden City Council and the Office of the Mayor.

Education

Williams obtained an associate’s degree in public administration from Fairleigh Dickinson University. He also earned the following certifications: Investigative Operations School Patrol, Neighborhood Response Team, Special Events Planning SWAT, Mobile Command Post Operations to Operationalize Real Time Crime Fighting Strategies, K-9 Management ICS-100 WMD Awareness and ICS-200 Incident Command System.
