Joseph F. Dwyer
Manager of Site Security, Holtec Security International
Joe Dwyer is manager of site security for Oyster Creek. Dwyer is responsible for ensuring the security, safety, and regulatory compliance of the site. He implements training programs, access authorization programs, and emergency preparedness. Dwyer also provides leadership and direction to ensure safe economical operation of the plant, serving as part of the site’s senior leadership team.
Professional History
Dwyer brings over 30 years of combined security and law enforcement experience. Dwyer began his career in law enforcement at an active shore community, serving as the department’s drug interdiction officer.
Since 2002, he has worked exclusively in the nuclear industry and has held various management and leadership positions in security and site committees.
Community Service
Dwyer helps plan and organize energy education events annually for local school age children and adults. In recent years, he planned and organized charity events sponsored by the Special Olympics of New Jersey and United Way of Ocean County.
