Dan Gagnon
Director, Holtec Security International
Dan Gagnon is the director of Holtec Security International. In this role, Gagnon oversees security of Holtec’s shutdown nuclear facilities. Gagnon works with Holtec’s decommissioning fleet security managers ensuring the safety of the fleet sites, their personnel and the communities they serve. Gagnon guarantees that these security protocols and procedures are at the highest standard to meet or exceed regulatory requirements.
Gagnon is overseeing a team of experts to develop enhanced security systems and processes for Holtec’s SMR-300 small modular reactor. This includes optimizing system interfaces and providing protections to ensure the highest level of security at SMR-300 facilities.
Professional History
Gagnon has over 34 years of wide-ranging experience in the field of nuclear security. Most recently, Gagnon served as site security manager of Indian Point Energy Center from 2007 through 2022. Gagnon also worked with the projects group to implement security upgrades in response to the events of September 11, 2001.
