Holtec Europe is an international division of Holtec International, with its headquarters and registration based in Madrid (Spain). Holtec’s first dry storage project in Spain occurred in 2003, and we officially established Holtec Europe in 2021 to support expanding project execution and business development across European markets. 

Our Madrid-based operations center unites project management, manufacturing oversight, and engineering capabilities under one roof. By leveraging Holtec International’s comprehensive suite of expertise, Holtec Europe is uniquely positioned to address the evolving needs of Europe’s energy industry. 

Leading our European efforts is Rafael Marín, Senior Program Manager for Europe, who oversees day-to-day operations from Madrid. At the executive level, Dr. Rick Springman —President of Global Clean Energy Opportunities and SVP International Programs — champions the division’s growth and strategic direction.
