
Fadi Diya
Senior Vice President and Chief Nuclear Officer
Fadi Diya serves as Senior Vice President and Chief Nuclear Officer of Holtec International. He leads Holtec’s efforts to ensure regulatory, operational, and environmental compliance in accord with the industry’s norms and standards. Diya serves as Holtec’s principal interface with the NRC on emerging nuclear issues and challenges.
Professional History
In August 2025, Diya founded Diya Consulting LLC to provide leadership consulting services for the nuclear industry. Prior to that, Diya served as the Senior Vice President and Chief Nuclear Officer (CNO) for Ameren Missouri, where he was responsible for all aspects of nuclear operations. He also served as a member of the Ameren Executive Leadership Team and the Ameren Missouri Board of Directors.
Prior to joining Ameren Missouri, Diya served in critical leadership roles at other utilities such as Progress Energy, Nebraska Public Power District, Energy Northwest, and Arizona Public Service Company. During his career, he held various positions including Site Vice President, Plant Manager, Site Engineering Director, Engineering Manager, and Operations Manager-in-Training.
Education
Diya holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in civil engineering from Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois. He has a senior reactor operator certification. He completed the Advanced Management Program at the University of Chicago, manager training at the University of North Carolina (Chapel Hill), and probabilistic risk assessment training at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. In addition, he completed Institute of Nuclear Power Operations (INPO) and Nuclear Energy Institute (NEI) Executive Nuclear Leadership courses. Diya regularly teaches leadership courses at INPO and serves on the National Academy of Nuclear Training Accreditation Board.
