Director of SMR-160 Development, SMR, LLC
Mr. Rick Trotta is the Director of SMR-160 Development for SMR, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Holtec International. He is responsible for establishing and leading the engineering and licensing teams developing the SMR-160 small modular reactor technology, coordinating engineering activities with collaborating partners, and engaging with Holtec corporate engineering resources.
Mr. Trotta received a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Drexel University. Mr. Trotta’s career at Holtec International began in the role of Quality Engineer in 2009. Since that time, he has held positions within Holtec International’s Site Services and Project Management groups, in Holtec’s Nuclear Power Division. Mr. Trotta’s last position within the Nuclear Power Division was Program Manager for Wet Storage Projects. He joined the SMR, LLC subsidiary in early 2016, under Mr. Thomas Marcille. He continues to promote company self-improvement initiatives through membership in working committees and as an internal auditor. Mr. Trotta reports to the Chief Nuclear Officer of SMR, LLC and Vice President of Reactor Technologies.
