HI-STAC, Holtec International SMR Technical Advisory Council, consists of recognized industry leaders with a corporate nexus to Holtec International. HI-STAC provides Holtec’s executive leadership with input on the technical and commercial merits and weaknesses of the SMR-160 program. This august body of industry leaders reviews and critiques the SMR-160 at bi-annual meetings, challenging design and plant operational decisions, providing insightful advice and direction, and effectively informing the design development through the eyes of experienced owner/operators. Their experience, commitment and input to the SMR-160 program is invaluable.

Christopher “Chris” Bakken III is the executive vice president of Entergy Infrastructure. He is responsible for Entergy’s nuclear plants located in New York, Vermont, Michigan, Louisiana, Mississippi and Arkansas, as well as the company’s management services to the Cooper Nuclear Station for the Nebraska Public Power District.

Samuel L. Belcher
Senior Vice President, Operations, FirstEnergy Utilities
Sam Belcher is senior vice president, Operations, for FirstEnergy Utilities, a subsidiary of FirstEnergy Corp. Belcher joined the company as FENOC (FirstEnergy Nuclear Operating Company) senior vice president and chief operating officer in December 2012 from Constellation Energy Nuclear Group, where he was senior vice president, Site Operations.

Brad Berryman
Senior Vice President and Chief Nuclear Officer, Susquehanna Nuclear, LLC, Talen Energy
Brad Berryman serves as Talen Energy’s Senior Vice President and Chief Nuclear Officer, responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Company’s Susquehanna nuclear power plant, a two-unit, 2,500 megawatt facility in Salem Township, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania.

Tricia Breeger
President, Mitsubishi Electric Power Products, Inc.
Tricia Breeger is a 22-year employee of Mitsubishi Electric Power Products, Inc. (MEPPI) where she is recognized for her leadership, industry experience, and business acumen. MEPPI, a US affiliate of the Mitsubishi Electric Corporation of Japan, serves the North American power systems, critical power, and rail transportation industries with electrical and electronic products, systems, and services.

Young Choi is Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Nuclear Energy Group, Hyundai Engineering & Construction (HDEC). He is responsible for managing all aspects of the HDEC’s Nuclear Business.

Stuart Crooks, CBE
Stuart Crooks is a brilliant hands-on engineer and an inspirational engineering leader. He has dedicated himself to the civil nuclear industry for 35 years. He was awarded a CBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List in 2019 for services to Nuclear Energy.

Stephan Werner Dohler, PhD

Dr. Stephan Werner Dohler is a member of the Management Board & Head of Division Nuclear Energy Axpo Power AG. He is also CEO Nuclear Power Plant Leibstadt AG & Nuclear Power Plant Beznau and Vice President Board of Directors ENERTRAG AG, Germany (wind power projects and power production, 800 MW installed).

José A. Gago
José A. Gago is as seasoned executive who has dedicated his career almost entirely to the nuclear industry. He brings in his technical and managerial experience in the whole nuclear fuel cycle, from fuel procurement and design to plant decommissioning.

David Hamilton
Chief Nuclear Officer, Energy Harbor
David Hamilton is responsible for the oversite and the safe and reliable operation of three nuclear stations, providing over 33TWhrs of clean energy, in Ohio and Pennsylvania. David has a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Delaware, a Bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Engineering from The Pennsylvania State University.

Kelvin Henderson
Senior Vice President and Chief Nuclear Officer, Duke Energy
Kelvin Henderson serves as senior vice president and chief nuclear officer for Duke Energy. He is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the nation’s largest regulated nuclear generating fleet. Kelvin brings more than 26 years of experience to the position and a deep knowledge of nuclear operations. A native of Zion, Ill., Kelvin earned a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Bradley University in Peoria, Ill.

Andrew Kadak, PhD

Dr. Kadak has led license renewal of operating reactors, systematic evaluation of older plants to allow them to demonstrate compliance to new regulations, financial rate proceedings to assure adequate capital for safe operation, innovative fuel purchase agreements, high level nuclear waste disposal, and storage solutions.

Petro Kotin is Acting President of SE NNEGC “Energoatom.” He was awarded with the award pins “Honorary Worker of Nuclear Energy”, “Excellence in Nuclear Energy” and honors “For a significant contribution to the development of nuclear energy in Ukraine”.

Maria Korsnick

Maria Korsnick is an acclaimed nuclear engineer with a long record of service to the nuclear power industry. She is NEI’s chief operating officer. In this role, she is responsible for the Government Affairs, Strategic Planning and Policy, Suppliers and International Programs, Nuclear Generation and Communication divisions.

Marilyn C. Kray
Vice President, Nuclear Technology and Strategy, Exelon Generation
Marilyn Kray is responsible for leading major initiatives related to current and advanced reactor designs to create growth opportunities that leverage Exelon’s nuclear operations competency. These initiatives include pursuing operational service agreements both domestically and internationally as well as engaging with advanced reactor developers to evaluate potential business opportunities and future deployment of the technology.

Shane Lies
Chief Operating Officer, NEI
Shane Lies is senior vice president and chief nuclear officer, responsible for oversight of American Electric Power’s Donald C. Cook Nuclear Plant in Bridgman, Michigan. Cook is a dual-unit nuclear site with a total generating capacity of 2,150 megawatts. He reports to Lisa Barton, AEP executive vice president and chief operating officer.

Chris Mudrick
Executive Vice President and Chief Nuclear Officer, Bruce Power
Chris Mudrick has more than 33 years of experience in the nuclear power industry. Prior to joining Bruce Power, Chris held the role of Senior Vice-President, East Operations, at Exelon Nuclear, and Chief Operating Officer, Constellation Energy Nuclear Group. In this role, he was responsible for 10 of Exelon’s 21 nuclear reactors at six sites in the United States.

Dominique Miniere
Dominique Minière is a seasoned nuclear specialist and technical expert with over 40 years of experience in the energy industry. He was Chief Operating Officer of Électricité de France (EDF) and Nuclear President of Ontario Power Generation (OPG) putting on track the First Of A Kind SMR (Small Modular Reactor) project in western world.

Yuriy O. Nedashkovskiy

Yuriy Nedashkovskiy is the former President of Energoatom. From 1983 to 2000, he worked at the Khmelnytsky Nuclear Power Plant, where he passed the career path from lineman of border equipment to Director General of station. In 1983 he graduated from the Odessa Polytechnic Institute majoring in “Nuclear Plants and Installations” specialization.
