Jearl Strickland serves as a Director of Generation Technical Services at Diablo Canyon Power Plant under the Power Generation division of Pacific Gas and Electric Company. He has over 38 years of experience in the design, licensing and management of engineering programs and projects associated with power production facilities. He is currently responsible for Seismic Projects, Geosciences department, Nuclear Fuels group, Spent Nuclear Fuel Storage, Licensing Basis Verification Program, and the Probabilistic Risk Assessment group.
Strickland has also served as the Vice President of Generation Technical Services (Interim), Director of Nuclear Projects, Director of Strategic Projects, Senior Regional Manager in Government Relations, Manager of the Used Fuel Storage Program, and Civil Engineering Manager.
Strickland holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from California State University at Chico, an MBA degree in Project and Construction Management from Golden Gate University in San Francisco, and graduated course work in Structural Analysis, Dynamics and Soil Structure Interaction from the University of California at Berkeley.
