Rabindra Satpathy is the senior vice president of the Clean Energy Technology Center, Solar Division at Holtec Asia. He is also the vice president of Holtec Asia’s Client First Program. Satpathy is a renowned renewable energy expert with over 39 years of global experience in solar photovoltaic, wind power, green hydrogen, and electrical energy storage technologies. He has demonstrated success in solar photovoltaic value chain manufacturing, business development, and profit and loss oversight. A strategic thinker, Satpathy is adept at technology integration, team building, and maximizing operational efficiency for sustainable growth. 

Professional History 

Satpathy has a distinguished career. He previously served as an advisor at ReNew and Larsen & Toubro, chief operating officer at Jakson Engineers Limited, CEO at Emami Power Limited, director at Trina Solar, president of the solar group at Reliance Industries Limited, and other significant roles at Shell Solar, Tata BP Solar, and Odisha Renewable Energy Development Agency. 

As an Advisor at eNew, Gurgaon-India, Satpathy spearheaded the establishment of a greenfield manufacturing facility. He oversaw feasibility studies, land acquisition, and budget preparation for a Giga Factory. Satpathy also led the technology and process tool selection for optimal operations and coordinated with government and regulatory agencies for approvals and allocations. 

Industry Leadership 

Satpathy has served on the board of directors at the International Solar Energy Society since 2012. He has been president of the Solar Energy Society of India since 2012, and a member of the CII renewable energy committee since 2008. Satpathy is the author of the book “Solar PV Power – Design, Manufacturing and Applications – Sand to Systems,” published by Elsevier in December 2020. He has also been an invited speaker at numerous national and international conferences.
