Victor M. McCree is the Owner and Principal Operating Officer of NucLeader Consulting, LLC.  He provides high level consultation to clients regarding regulatory and technical requirements, strategies, and techniques to successfully lead people and nuclear operations.  McCree served for over three decades at the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), including as the Executive Director for Operations (EDO).  In this role, he was the chief operating officer of the Commission, directing the day-to-day operational and administrative functions of the agency.

While at NRC, McCree held a number of leadership positions, including: Senior Regional Coordinator, Office of the Executive Director for Operations; Chief of Staff for the EDO; Deputy Director for Policy Development and Technical Support, Office of Chairman Shirley Ann Jackson; Director, Division of Reactor Safety, Region II; Director, Division of Reactor Projects, Region II; Deputy Regional Administrator for Operations, Region II; and Regional Administrator, Region II.

McCree also served extensively in international roles representing both the NRC and the US government, including as the Team Leader for the International Regulatory Review Service Missions to Germany Spain and South Africa, under the auspices of the International Atomic Energy Agency.  He also served as Chair of the Nuclear Energy Agency Committee on Nuclear Regulatory Activities (CNRA).  

McCree is the recipient of numerous awards, including the Presidential Meritorious Rank Award in 2007.

Prior to joining the NRC, McCree was a nuclear-trained submarine officer and completed Nuclear Engineer Officer certification.  He also served on the staff of the Chief of Naval Operations and retired from the Naval Reserve as a Commander.

He is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy and received an Executive Master of Business Administration degree from Georgia State University in Atlanta.
