Kelly Trice

Kelly Trice has been promoted to the position of President of Holtec International reporting to Holtec’s long-serving CEO and Executive Chairman, Dr. Kris Singh.   Since joining Holtec in 2019 Kelly has proven record of upholding and expanding Holtec’s business operations and advancing its corporate values in all aspects of the Company’s global activities.  Kelly’s previous roles at Holtec have included President of Power Generation and Decommissioning, President of SMR, LLC and President of Holtec Decommissioning International. 

Prior to joining Holtec five years ago, Kelly had over thirty-five years of executive management experience with full profit and loss responsibility of several large companies. Kelly is a graduate of the U.S. Navy’s Nuclear Propulsion Program and earned a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of Oklahoma and a master’s in business administration from the University of New Mexico.

Pankaj (PK) Chaudhary has been promoted to the position of President – Corporate Projects, Manufacturing & Supply Chain.  In his expanded role, PK will continue to oversee the Company’s Digital Innovations, IT and Site Technical Services groups. PK began his career with Holtec as a  design engineer in 1996, then growing into the roles of project engineer, Project Manager, Director of Projects, Vice-President of Projects and ultimately his most recent role as Sr. Vice-President of Operations, IT and Manufacturing, which included full profit and loss responsibility for the Company’s Nuclear Power Division. PK has significant hands-on experience in the design, engineering, licensing, manufacturing, and implementation of systems, structures and components for Wet storage and Dry storage of spent nuclear fuel.  PK received his Bachelor of Science degree in electronics and power engineering from Nagpur University (India) in 1994 and his Master of Science degree in computer science from Widener University in 1996.

Rick Springman

Dr. Rick Springman has been confirmed in position of Holtec’s President of Global Clean Energy Opportunities to which he was appointed in the interim position in 2023.  In this role, he is responsible for global strategy, new project development, and commercial structures for deployment of Holtec’s clean energy technologies, including Holtec’s Small Modular Reactor, SMR-300, and the highly efficient HI-THERM HSP (solar concentrator) technology pioneered by the Company.

Rick will also serve as Senior Vice President of International Programs for Holtec International with continued responsibility to expand Holtec’s business footprint internationally across all of Holtec’s product lines and provide executive oversight and strategic vision to expand and develop new international operations centers.  Before joining Holtec in 2009, he completed both his undergraduate and doctoral studies in Mechanical Engineering and Applied Mechanics at the University of Pennsylvania.

Dr. Debabrata (Debu) Mitra-Majumdar has been appointed to the position of Interim President of Holtec Asia. In this position, he has full profit and loss responsibility for Holtec Asia which has a large technology center in Pune and a modern manufacturing plant in Dahej, Gujarat. Debu received his bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Jadavpur University (India) in 1989 and his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Drexel University in 1997.  Debu is a leading thermal-hydraulicist in the field of gravity actuated flows and two-phase flow regimes and is credited with introducing modern computational fluid dynamics techniques to the dry and wet storage industry in the United States in the 1990s. He has played an important role in the licensing of Holtec’s fuel management systems in the US and abroad since 2000.  Debu also continues in his role as the Vice-President, Engineering Analysis, responsible for the engineering/design activities of the CED division.

Charles (Chuck) Bullard II has been appointed to the position of Vice-President of Engineering Mechanics which is by far the largest technical discipline at Holtec International.  Chuck is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania earning his Bachelor’s (1994) and Master of Science (2000) degrees. He has earned several awards and citations from the company in his 30 years of service including the coveted award of Holtec Fellow. Chuck is credited with making Holtec’s structural department into a bastion of technical excellence admired and respected by our customers, regulators, and other counterparties alike. 

In his new position, Chuck is responsible for all Solid Mechanics work performed by all Holtec divisions and operation centers, including SMR, LLC and Palisades Energy, LLC.

The above executives join currently serving Division Presidents, J. Scott Thomson of Holtec Security International and Vice Admiral (Ret.) Fritz Roegge of Holtec Government Services, respectively, Chief Commercial Officer, Joy Russell, and Riaz Awan, Vice-President of Ukraine Operations in the top ranks of the Company’s business leadership.

Conferring the certificates on the awardees in a ceremony on May 30 at the Company’s KPS Technology Center, CEO Dr. Kris Singh observed, “Every one of the executives elevated today has been deeply immersed in our corporate culture   and has worked cohesively as a team at Holtec for many years. I am sure that these exceptionally talented individuals will continue to drive excellence within our company and will continue to collectively strive to fulfill our corporate mission to provide transformative solutions for clean energy as a viable and reliable solution for the world.”
