Declaring that “the time has come to augment our executive team to better manage our rapidly expanding operations and to recognize the contributions of our most distinguished company stalwarts,” Dr. Kris Singh, Holtec’s President & CEO, presented certificates commemorating the elevation of Nicholas Abraczinskas, Pankaj Chaudhary, Joy Russell, and Mark Soler to the position of vice president. All four are Holtec veterans, having served in the position of “Director” (a mid-management corporate position) in different divisions at the Company’s New Jersey operations center. Please meet Holtec’s newest executives:

Mr. Nick Abraczinskas
Vice President, Contracts, Finance, and Human Resources
Mr. Abraczinskas most recently served as Director of Finance & Contracts for Holtec International. Mr. Abraczinskas received a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from North Carolina State University in 2001 and graduated with an MBA in Finance & Strategy from George Washington University in 2007. Nick’s early professional career began in 2001 at ExxonMobil where he rapidly rose in stature and responsibility, ending with a Strategic Planning role within the multi-national firm (2004-2007) in Washington, DC. After receiving his MBA, Mr. Abraczinskas took up an Investment Banking position at Taylor Companies in Washington, DC (2007-2009) where he was soon promoted to the position of Vice President of Mergers & Acquisitions. In this position (2007-2009), Nick led the majority of acquisition and divestiture opportunities within the firm. In March of 2009, Mr. Abraczinskas accepted a position with Holtec International as the Corporate Financial Manager. Soon after, he was appointed to the position of Director of Finance & Contracts with hands on responsibility to manage Finance/Accounting, Legal/Contracts, and Human Resources. Nick reports to the Company’s Chief Financial Officer.

Mr. Pankaj (PK) Chaudhary
Vice President, Corporate Operations – North America
Mr. Pankaj Chaudhary has over 16 years of nuclear industry experience in managing diverse nuclear projects including those in Holtec’s core areas of competence namely, wet storage and dry storage/transportation of used nuclear fuel and power plant heat exchangers/pressure vessels. Mr. Chaudhary received his Masters of Science in Engineering from Widener University (Pennsylvania) in 1996 prior to joining Holtec International.

Mr. Chaudhary’s professional career at Holtec began with the position of Design Engineer in 1996 culminating in his current position as the Corporate Director of Projects. Over the years, Mr. Chaudhary has held various positions within Holtec International including Software Manager, Manufacturing Manager, Project Manager and Manager of Projects. In his most recent role, Mr. Chaudhary was responsible for overseeing the Corporate Project Management, Corporate Supply Chain, and Site Services organizations. Additionally, Mr. Chaudhary also serves as the corporate sponsor for Holtec Manufacturing Division (HMD). Mr. Chaudhary is widely credited with developing the state-of-art data management systems which serve as the nerve center of the configuration control architecture for Holtec’s nuclear quality program.

Ms. Joy Russell
Vice President, Corporate Business Development
Ms. Russell has over 25 years of professional experience in the nuclear industry including the Department of Defense, Department of Energy, State of Maryland, and the commercial nuclear industry. Ms. Russell is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point and holds a Masters degree in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville.

Ms. Russell joined Holtec in 1997 as a Senior Engineer assigned to the Site Services Group and later to the Nuclear Engineering Group. She performed nuclear analyses in the early stages of licensing Holtec International’s HI-STORM and HI-STAR Systems for dry spent fuel storage and transport of used nuclear fuel. Ms. Russell later transitioned into Holtec’s business development organization where she played the crucial role as the proposal developer and the principal client interface in support of scores of Holtec’s proposals. Most recently, Ms. Russell’s responsibilities were expanded to include the oversight of the sales program of the Power Plant Component Division as the Director of Corporate Business Development.

Mr. Mark Soler
Vice President, Quality
Mr. Soler has over 23 years of experience in project management and quality assurance at Holtec International, where his most recent position was that of Director, Quality Assurance. In this capacity, Mark has been the custodian of Holtec’s QA Program which was established in 1986 and was approved by the USNRC in docket number 71-0784. He has provided QA oversight on hundreds of Holtec projects involving design and fabrication of structures, systems, and components. His experience includes hosting scores of third party audits including NUPIC, triennial NRC inspections, and securing NRC approval of QA programs that meet the provisions of 10 CFR 50, 71, 72, and NQA-1. The successful ASME surveys for Code stamps and ISO 9001 certifications of Holtec’s manufacturing plants are also among Mr. Soler’s many notable accomplishments. Over the past quarter century, Mr. Soler has been in the vanguard of the increasing sophistication of Holtec’s quality program that is implemented through hundreds of procedures and a complex web of network based processes.

Mr. Soler holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania (1984). Prior to joining Holtec in 1989, Mr. Soler served as Quality Engineer and Associate for General Electric.
